Eva Hoffmann

Eva Hoffmann is a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, University of Copenhagen, within the Faculty of Health Sciences. She serves as Pro-Rector in the Rectorate structure.

Her research focuses on genetic changes in the germline, particularly examining DNA damage response and cell cycle proteins in relation to chromosome stability, fertility, and reproductive disease. Her work uses mouse and yeast models, alongside human eggs and embryos, to study aneuploidy and reproductive aging.

Key recent publications address topics such as genetic links between ovarian aging and cancer risk, male fertility restoration techniques, and DNA sharing in human eggs. Her research has garnered significant attention, including 22 news outlets and 76 X platforms.

Prof. Hoffmann is also involved in commercial applications, co-founding Ovartix Ltd (UK) and serving as CEO of Ovartix ApS (Denmark). She has 86 publications including 62 journal articles, 6 reviews, and 5 book contributions.
