Eva Fabian

Eva Fabian is a research associate and doctoral student at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy I, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Since January 2022, she has been involved in the BMBF-funded joint project Reflectively shaping (re-)organizing educational landscapes, focusing on parents' educational expectations and decisions. Her work intersects sociology, educational policy, and social cohesion.

Fabian’s research examines socio-spatial factors influencing educational assessments, particularly in peripheral social spaces. Her 2015 publication explores tensions between mass university expansion and the traditional German principle of unifying research and teaching.

She has contributed to interdisciplinary projects such as IKOE – Office for Intercultural Orientation and Opening Saxony-Anhalt and the Horizon 2020 application at Harz University of Applied Sciences.
