Eva Cooney is a Lecturer in the Department of Documentary & Editorial Photography at Falmouth University. She has held this role since 2011, teaching theoretical and practical modules across all three years of the BA(Hons) program. Her academic background includes a BA(Hons) in Documentary Photography (2004, University of Wales Newport), an MA in Photography and the Land (2010, University of Plymouth), and a PGCE with DTLLS (2011, University of Plymouth). Her research focuses on landscape photography and environmental themes, with affiliations to the BlackBox research group.
Eva’s professional practice blends documentary and editorial photography, emphasizing contemporary approaches to landscape.
