Eva Blomqvist

Eva Blomqvist is an Associate Professor in the Knowledge Modelling and Cognitive Systems (KMACS) group at the Department of Computer and Information Science (IDA), Linköping University. She holds a Ph.D. and Docent in Computer Science, specializing in AI, knowledge representation, and Semantic Web technologies. Her research focuses on ontology engineering, knowledge graphs, and their applications in security, sustainability, and healthcare domains. She leads projects like Onto-DESIDE and Trace4Value, advancing decision support systems through semantic technologies.

Blomqvist has extensive editorial contributions, including co-editing proceedings for major Semantic Web conferences (ESWC, ISWC). She supervises students in ontology design, semantic systems, and data visualization. Her work integrates interdisciplinary approaches, collaborating on projects such as VaccEval (e-health) and LOD-Sweden (linked open data). She is a member of the Human-Centered Systems (HCS) division and actively contributes to ontology pattern methodologies like the eXtreme Design approach.

Her publications emphasize ontology alignment, knowledge graph applications in circular economies, and semantic technologies for emergency response.
