Eunji Jun

Eunji Jun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hawaii. She holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (2012), and specializes in computational methods for non-equilibrium gas dynamics.

Her research focuses on kinetic theory, non-equilibrium flow modeling, and multiscale computational methods such as DSMC, MD, FP, and CFD-DSMC hybrids. She applies these techniques to supersonic/hypersonic flows, spacecraft entry/re-entry, plume science, and micro/nano-scale flow phenomena.

Recent work emphasizes trends in Fokker-Planck methods, DSMC algorithms, and hybrid multiscale simulations for rarefied gas flows in aerospace and microfluidic systems.
