Dr. Eunice Lo is a Senior Research Fellow in Climate Change and Health at the University of Bristol, holding dual affiliations with the Cabot Institute for the Environment and the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute for Health Research. She serves as an Honorary Academic Consultant at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and contributes as a lead author to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report Working Group I on Chapter 3: Human Influence on the Climate System.
Her research centers on quantifying health impacts from climate-driven extreme weather events, particularly heatwaves and cold spells, using integrated climate-epidemiological modeling frameworks. She investigates mortality and morbidity mechanisms while developing policy-relevant adaptation strategies through collaborations with the Met Office, UKHSA, and local authorities across the UK, Canada, and South Africa. Her work bridges climate science with public health implementation to reduce climate vulnerability.
