Eugene Maria Schulak

Eugene Maria Schulak is a Lecturer in the Theory of DTT Education at the Department of Fine Arts & Design, Mozarteum University in Salzburg, and also teaches at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. Previously, he taught philosophy at the University of Vienna for many years. He holds a doctorate in philosophy and has a teaching qualification for secondary schools. His academic background includes studies in philosophy, psychology, education, and history.

Founder of the Institute for Philosophical Counselling (1998), Schulak specializes in addressing philosophical issues through seminars, lectures, and discussions focused on values, ethics, and existential questions. His work emphasizes practical philosophy applied to contemporary life. He has authored 12 books, with translations into English and Chinese, and maintains active platforms like philosophische-praxis.at and thefrozenheart.com.

Prior to his academic career, Schulak supported himself as a musician and radio/TV advert producer, blending creative arts with philosophical inquiry.
