Essi Viding is an Associate Professor at the Child Study Center within the Yale School of Medicine. Her research focuses on developmental psychopathology, particularly antisocial behavior, psychopathy, and the neurobiological and genetic underpinnings of mental health disorders. She holds a PhD from King's College (2004) and a BS from University College (1998).
Her work integrates genetic, neuroimaging, and longitudinal methodologies to understand behavioral and emotional disorders in children and adolescents. Key interests include the impact of childhood trauma, the role of callous-unemotional traits, and the development of transdiagnostic interventions.
