Espen Sjøberg

Espen Sjøberg is an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy and Law, Kristiania University of Applied Sciences, School of Health Sciences. He lectures on psychology and esports, and leads the ACE Research Group (Art, Cognition & Esports). He holds a doctorate in Behaviour Analysis and is affiliated with OsloMet’s Experimental Behavior Analysis group and UNED’s Animal Learning Lab in Spain.

His research focuses on esports, learning mechanisms, evolutionary psychology, and the philosophy of science. He co-authored a widely adopted psychology textbook for Norwegian upper secondary schools. Sjøberg has received grants and awards in academia and film production, including a 2018 Research Grand Prix Oslo finalist placement and four Lecturer of the Year nominations.
