Espen Dyrnes Stabell

Espen Dyrnes Stabell is an Associate Professor at the NTNU Business School, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on ethics and practical philosophy, with specialties in environmental ethics, philosophy of need, and business ethics. He holds a PhD in philosophy from NTNU (2019), titled Deep Sea Uncertainty: Studies in Environmental Ethics and Decision-Making.

His work bridges theoretical ethics with applied issues, particularly addressing environmental policy challenges such as deep-sea mining ethics, precautionary principles, and distributive justice. He has published extensively in journals like Environmental Ethics, Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Ethics, and Etikk i praksis.

Stabell lectures internationally on topics ranging from moral uncertainty to corporate responsibility. His teaching includes courses on philosophy of science, ethics of sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.
