Dr. Esmail Mohebbi is a Professor of Management and Management Information Systems at the Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business, University of West Florida. He teaches courses in operations management and e-Business systems. His academic background includes master’s and doctoral degrees in Industrial Engineering (Operations Research) from the University of Toronto.
Research Interests: Focuses on mathematical modeling and quantitative analysis of supply chain management and logistics systems. Key areas include inventory control under random supply interruptions, production-inventory systems under environmental variability, component commonality, demand variability, lead-time variability, and capacity constraints. His work addresses conflicting objectives in logistics planning.
Publications: His research appears in journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Naval Research Logistics, and Operations Research Letters.
Professional Affiliations: Member of the Decision Sciences Institute, Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).
