Erol KURT

Prof. Dr. Erol KURT is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Technology, Gazi University. He holds a Ph.D. from Bayreuth University (Germany) with research on rotating magnetic fluids and has worked at the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority. His expertise spans electrical engineering, plasma physics, nonlinear dynamics, renewable energy systems, and energy harvesting. He has pioneered conferences like ECRES and ICMECE and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Energy Systems. His research emphasizes energy conversion, plasma engineering, and sustainable technologies.

Education: M.Sc. (2001, Gazi University), Ph.D. (2004, Bayreuth University) supported by a European Graduate College Grant. His work integrates computational modeling (e.g., PIV/PTV simulations) with experimental validation, focusing on fluid dynamics, electromechanical systems, and plasma diagnostics.
