معرفی
Erin J. Wamsley is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Furman University, where she directs the Furman Sleep Lab. She holds a PhD from City University of New York and completed postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on cognitive neuroscience of sleep, memory consolidation, and dream experiences.
Her work investigates how offline brain states during sleep and rest facilitate memory processing, with specific interests in EEG dynamics and neural mechanisms of dream generation. Research spans sleep-dependent memory enhancement, neural replay during rest, and cognitive processing in transitional sleep states.
Publications demonstrate interdisciplinary approaches combining neuroimaging with behavioral studies. Recent work explores ultra-short offline states' impact on memory and meta-analytic relationships between dream content and memory systems.
