Erin Doherty holds the position of Graduate Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at George Mason University. She is concurrently pursuing a PhD in Dr. Jane Flinn's laboratory, focusing on animal models examining the interplay between traumatic brain injury and stress. Additionally, she serves as an animal care technician at the Krasnow Institute and teaches PSYC 373 as an instructor.
Erin earned her B.S. in Psychology with a Neuroscience concentration from the University of Mary Washington (Fredericksburg) in 2015. Her research interests span traumatic brain injury mechanisms, stress biology, neurodegenerative disorders, and behavioral interventions, with particular attention to circadian rhythm disruptions and therapeutic development.
Her professional roles bridge laboratory research, animal care expertise, and undergraduate instruction in psychology. While no specific grants or awards are noted, her work contributes to translational neuroscience through animal model studies.
