Dr. Erin Brooks is a Professor and Agricultural Engineer in the Department of Soil and Water Systems at the University of Idaho's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Her research develops predictive models for watershed hydrology, soil erosion, and agricultural water management.
She leads development of the WEPPcloud modeling system used for post-wildfire erosion prediction and sustainable land management. Current projects assess irrigation efficiency, conservation tillage impacts, and watershed-scale hydrology. She teaches courses in irrigation systems, environmental hydrology, and water quality.
Research affiliations include the Long-Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) network, with field studies at the Cook Agronomy Farm site examining management effects on hydrologic stability.
