Erin Abrams

Erin Abrams is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Law School, where she teaches courses focusing on in-house legal counsel roles in tech and startup environments. She holds dual appointments as Lecturer in Law and Adjunct Faculty. Currently, she serves as Chief Legal Officer at Via Transportation, Inc., overseeing corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, and litigation matters. Previously, she worked at Citigroup in compliance and was a litigator at Fried Frank focusing on white collar criminal and securities law.

Education: B.A. in Political Science (magna cum laude) from Duke University; J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School.

Professional Expertise: Specializes in M&A, venture financing, cybersecurity, data privacy, and anti-money laundering regulations. Manages Via's patent portfolio and advises on transportation regulatory issues. Maintains pro bono practice representing domestic violence survivors in family law proceedings.
