Erika Techera

Erika Techera is a Professor at the UWA Law School, University of Western Australia. She previously served as Interim Pro Vice Chancellor (International), Director of the UWA Oceans Institute, and Dean of the Faculty of Law. Her research focuses on environmental law, marine governance, climate change, and maritime heritage, with a regional emphasis on the Indo-Pacific. She holds board positions at organizations like the Australian Institute of Marine Science and the Heritage Council of Western Australia.

Education: PhD (Macquarie University, 2009), LLM (Macquarie, 2007), LLB (Hons) (University of Technology Sydney, 1993). She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law and a certified company director.
