Erika Kissam is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Performance and Communication Arts Department at St. Lawrence University. Her educational background includes a BFA from Emerson College and an MFA from Kent State University.
Her primary research and teaching focus spans:
- Rhetoric and argumentation theory
- Public speaking pedagogy
- Theatre-performance communication techniques
- Cross-cultural ESL instruction methodologies
With significant professional experience as a theatre technician across five U.S. states and ESL instructor in South Korea, she brings practical industry perspectives to academic instruction.
She actively contributes to regional education initiatives by judging high school speaking competitions. Her office is located in Valentine Hall 209-1.
