Dr. Erika Hiltbrunner is a senior scientist in the Physiological Plant Ecology group at the University of Basel, focusing on alpine ecosystems since 2017. Her work addresses critical environmental challenges including shrub encroachment, nitrogen deposition, and global change impacts on alpine vegetation.
