Erika Forbes, PhD, is a Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh, affiliated with the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. She holds positions in multiple departments, including the Department of Psychology, and is part of the Clinical Program. Her research focuses on clinical affective neuroscience, specifically reward and emotion neural circuitry in adolescents, and brain development's role in mental health. Dr. Forbes leads the Affective Neuroscience & Developmental Psychopathology (ANDP) Lab, exploring mechanisms underlying depression and anhedonia in youth.
Education includes a PhD in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Affective Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh.
