Erik Juergensmeyer is a Professor of English at Fort Lewis College, where he has taught since 2013 and serves as coordinator of the Peace and Conflict Studies minor.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English from the University of Arizona
- M.A. in English (Emphasis: Rhetoric and Composition) from Georgia State University
- B.A. in Political Science from Emory University
His research centers on rhetoric and writing for public communication improvement, with expertise in argumentation, community-based learning, and conflict resolution. He integrates these through community-engaged pedagogy and the Peace and Conflict Studies minor to advance discourse for societal benefit.
