Erik Hollander

Erik Hollander is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Health Care Administration within the School of Biomedical Sciences and Health Care Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). He teaches a wide range of courses including Healthcare Management, Business Ethics, Organizational Leadership, and Current Trends in Healthcare. He holds a strong academic and professional background spanning higher education, healthcare leadership, and consulting.

Erik's research interests lie at the intersection of healthcare and business, with a focus on healthcare access, costs, quality, systems, and Direct Primary Care (DPC). He also explores early mathematical interventions using cognitive science methods to improve student success in undergraduate education. His interdisciplinary approach bridges organizational leadership, ethical decision-making, and healthcare innovation.

Erik has been recognized with multiple awards including Undergraduate Faculty of the Year (2022), Graduate Faculty of the Year (2014), and Best Paper at the Cross-Cultural Business Conference (2023). He is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and actively contributes to professional organizations such as the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
