معرفی
Erik Griffin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Dartmouth College, where he serves as Chair of the Molecular and Cellular Biology PhD Program. His research focuses on embryonic development and cell identity establishment in Caenorhabditis elegans.
- B.A., Swarthmore College
- Ph.D., California Institute of Technology
- Postdoctoral Fellow, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Research Interests: The Griffin Lab investigates cellular mechanisms in early embryogenesis, combining quantitative live imaging with molecular genetic approaches to study polarity establishment, asymmetric cell division, and RNA granule dynamics.
Publication Trends: Recent work (2019-2022) emphasizes computational modeling of protein gradients, PLK-1 regulation, and technical innovations in transgenic vector assembly. Studies employ C. elegans as a model system to explore fundamental developmental biology questions.
