Erik Finlay is an Assistant Scholar at the University of Florida's GeoPlan Center. He holds a BA in Geography (2009) and an MPH (2013) from the University of Florida, complemented by a Certificate in Spatial Analysis for Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on geospatial analysis for public health, transportation, and urban planning, emphasizing decision-support tools and data management. He teaches web mapping and visualization courses, including URP 6278, and received the 2019 Exemplary Online Award for his contributions to instructional design.
