Erica Erlanger is a Research Fellow at the Centre de Recherches Pétrographiques et Géochimiques (CRPG), a joint research unit (UMR 7358) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Lorraine, based in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, France.
Her research centers on atmospheric and climate systems, with specialized focus on geochemical cycles, planetary atmospheres, and Earth's climatic evolution. She employs interdisciplinary methodologies bridging geochemistry and climate modeling to investigate both terrestrial and extraterrestrial environments, including cometary compositions and paleoclimate proxies.
Dr. Erlanger actively collaborates with international research teams, as evidenced by co-authorship on studies published in journals like Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems. Her work at CRPG contributes to the unit's leadership in petrological and geochemical analysis, utilizing advanced mass spectrometry and isotopic tracing techniques.
