Erica E. Bennett serves as Clinical Professor and Clinical Director of the WSU Audiology Clinic within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wayne State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, while concurrently holding a Senior Staff Audiologist position at Henry Ford Health System.
She earned dual doctoral degrees (Au.D. and Ph.D.) in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017, establishing her credentials in both clinical practice and research methodology.
Her research focuses on advanced audiological interventions, with particular expertise in cochlear implants, hearing disorder management, and auditory prosthetic technologies. This clinical specialization directly informs her teaching of graduate courses including Basic Audiologic Evaluation, Audiology Clinical Laboratory, and Contemporary Issues in Audiology across multiple academic terms.
As Clinical Director, she oversees all operations of the university audiology clinic, integrating patient care services with student training programs to bridge academic theory and clinical practice in hearing rehabilitation.
