Eric van Dijk is a Professor of Psychology and Social Decision Making at Leiden University's Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. His research focuses on economic and social decision making, particularly examining trust dynamics, conflict/cooperation behaviors, and the psychology of resource allocation.
- Graduated in economics and psychology from Groningen University
- Defended cum laude dissertation on social dilemmas in 1993

Research Highlights:
Explores how people process ambiguous information in economic contexts (2003), investigates power dynamics in resource allocation (2005), and examines perspective-taking's role in conspiracy theory belief (2014).
