Eric Yen-Yo Chen

Eric Yen-Yo Chen is a Lecturer in the Section of Mathematics and a Postdoctoral Researcher (Collaborateur Scientifique) in the Chair of Arithmetic Geometry at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), School of Basic Sciences. He is affiliated with the Institute of Mathematics for research and the Section of Mathematics for teaching.

His educational background includes a PhD in Mathematics from Princeton University in 2023, supervised by Akshay Venkatesh.

Chen's research focuses on automorphic periods and dualities arising from mathematical quantum field theories. His work intersects arithmetic geometry, Teichmüller theory, and mathematical physics, particularly exploring connections to brane constructions and moduli spaces. Recent efforts include a draft on (BAA)-branes from higher Teichmüller theory.
