Eric Yang

Dr. Eric Yang is Interim Associate Vice Provost of Global Strategies and International Affairs at Kentucky State University, where he leads initiatives in international education, academic exchange, and Chinese cultural promotion. He holds a faculty-level academic rank and contributes to higher education through research, administration, and cross-cultural educational programming.

Education:

• Master of Arts in Sociology, Wuhan University
• Bachelor’s in Teaching English as a Second Language, Teachers College

Dr. Yang's research focuses on gifted education and comparative studies between U.S. and Chinese educational systems. He has extensive experience teaching Chinese as a second language to American students and has taught at both secondary and university levels in China and the United States. His scholarly work explores effective schools, teacher development, and educational excellence.

His publications include co-authored and co-edited volumes such as Teaching in the United States: The US K-12 Teachers, Frontiers in American Educational Research, Good Schools and Good Students: Research Findings on American Effective Schools, and the dual reports Why Not Best Schools? for both China and the U.S. These works reflect his deep engagement with educational quality and reform across cultures.
