Eric Roden is the Albert and Alice Weeks Professor in the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, affiliated with the Department of Geological Engineering. His research focuses on the biogeochemical processes in aquatic environments.
- Biogeochemistry of anaerobic soils and sediments
- Microbial metabolism and geochemical cycling
- Ecology of anaerobic respiratory bacteria
- Metal and contaminant mobility in groundwater systems
He advises graduate student Hanna Kollbaum and teaches courses including GEOSCI 117, 160, and 375.
