Eric Reyes Loo is a part-time lecturer at the Department of Cinematic Arts, College of the Arts, California State University, Long Beach. A Los Angeles-based television writer/producer and playwright, he has worked on comedy and drama series while developing film and TV projects with major networks and production companies.
Education:
- MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts
- BA in English with double minors in Theatre and Dance from Santa Clara University
Professional Experience:
- Staff writer on AwesomenessTV/Hulu drama series Guidance, promoted to Co-Producer
- Executive Story Editor on Netflix comedy A.J. and the Queen
- Participant in Film Independent Imaginar TV Incubator for Fearless Latinx Creators
- Active member of Chalk Repertory Theatre and Writers Guild of America
Current Projects:
- Play Simple Mexican Pleasures premiering at San Francisco's New Conservatory Theatre Center in April 2025
- Developing half-hour series with RaqMar Entertainment (producers of Acapulco on Apple TV+)
