Dr. Eric Nehl is an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences at Emory University. He serves as Director for the Evaluation and Continuous Improvement Function for the Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance (Georgia CTSA), Co-Investigator and Director of Evaluation for the Atlanta Center for Microsystems Engineered Point-of-Care Technologies (ACME POCT), and Director of Evaluation for multiple NIH-funded grants. His research spans behavioral health evaluation, HIV/AIDS prevention, and chronic disease intervention strategies with a focus on marginalized populations.

- MS in Community Health Education, Ball State University
- PhD in Health Behavior, Indiana University
Research Interests: Dr. Nehl’s work emphasizes translational research methodologies, including evaluation of public health interventions, HIV biomedical prevention strategies, and healthcare access equity. His recent studies explore psychosocial factors impacting healthcare workers during pandemics and the efficacy of behavioral economics approaches to enhance HIV prevention adherence.
