Dr. Eric McKenzie is a Teaching Assistant Professor and Advising Coordinator in Chemistry at UNC Charlotte. He holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University Bloomington (2022) and dual B.S./B.A. degrees in Chemistry and Modern European History from UNC Chapel Hill (2016).
His research background includes dye-sensitized photoelectrosynthesis cells (undergraduate) and catalytic electroreduction of aryl halides (Ph.D.). Pedagogically, he focuses on improving introductory chemistry education, reducing achievement gaps, and enhancing student advising systems.
