Dr. Eric Ledwin is the founding Program Director for the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Anesthesia Program at St. John Fisher University's Wegmans School of Nursing, effective February 2024. Previously, he served as Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Program Director at the University at Buffalo Nurse Anesthesia Program. He holds a DNP from the University at Buffalo, a CRNA from the University of Buffalo, a BSN from the University of Rochester, and a B.A. from the University at Buffalo.

His research focuses on simulation-based education in nursing and obstetric anesthesia practices. With over a decade as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, he provides specialized care at Highland Hospital, emphasizing obstetric anesthesia. He previously worked in Highland Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and served as a paramedic for 14 years in the Greater Rochester area. Dr. Ledwin prioritizes fostering a supportive learning environment to train future nurse anesthetists.
