Eric Hector serves as Assistant Professor of Film & Creative Media in the School of Art & Creative Media at Millikin University. He concurrently operates as Owner/Creative Director of Heroic Age Studios since 1992, producing work across comic books, television commercials, documentaries, animations, and feature films for major clients including Marvel, DC Comics, Disney, and Warner Brothers.
His educational credentials include:
- MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University
- BFA in Commercial Art and Computer Design from Millikin University
Hector specializes in storytelling, screenwriting, and digital production techniques with pioneering industry contributions. He developed Marvel Entertainment's first Photoshop-colored monthly comic book standard and co-created DC Comics' inaugural "5-Color" comic. Current projects include the feature film "Trick and Treats" starring Malcolm McDowell (scheduled 2024 release) and the EVR Experience virtual reality laboratory/arcade in Central Illinois.

Hector founded the Heroic Age Art Center as a hub for artistic entrepreneurs and maintains extensive collaborations across major intellectual properties including Star Wars, Batman, Spider-Man, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
