PD Dr.med. Eric Hahn is a Senior Physician and Head of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He holds an honorary professorship in psychiatry from Hanoi Medical University (2022). His roles include co-leading the research area on Psychotic Disorders and the Global Mental Health working group at Charité. He co-founded a special outpatient clinic and psychosocial network for Vietnamese migrants' mental health with PD Dr. Tam Ta.
Research focuses on applying scientific findings to strengthen healthcare in Global South countries, including Vietnam, Ghana, and India. Key interests encompass stigma research, genetic and clinical foundations of mental disorders, and innovative care structures. He collaborates internationally, including with the Psychiatric Genomic Consortium (PGC) and institutions like MIT/Harvard.
