Eric Gobel is a Senior Lecturer and Interdisciplinary Program Director in Cognitive/Behavioral Neuroscience at Loyola University Chicago. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Preprofessional Studies/Biology from the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Gobel’s research focuses on the psychology and neuroscience of memory, particularly nondeclarative memory phenomena and neuroplasticity. His work examines how perceptual-motor sequences are encoded through cooperation between brain regions like the basal ganglia, cerebellum, and cerebral cortex, with implications for understanding skill learning and neurological populations.
