Eric Daniels is the Assistant Director of the Snow Institute for the Study of Capitalism (SISC) at Clemson University. He holds a Ph.D. in American History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.A. in American History from the same institution, and a B.A. in History and Rhetoric from Drake University. His professional experience includes roles as Head of School at LePort Montessori (Southern California), and teaching appointments at Duke University and Georgetown University. Previously, he served as an Assistant Research Professor and Assistant Director at the SISC from 2006 to 2013.
His research focuses on the history of capitalism, American legal systems, and intellectual traditions in American thought. Specific interests include the evolution of individualism, antitrust policies, and political history. He has been nominated for a teaching award during his tenure at Duke University.
