Eric Crane is a Per Course Instructor at the Herschend School of Education, where he teaches in the graduate leadership program. With over four decades of experience in education, he has held diverse roles across teaching, administration, research, and consulting, primarily in international contexts across North Africa.
His research and professional expertise center on educational leadership, school governance, strategic planning, and the cultural implications of technology in education, particularly within Muslim societies. He has published work on leadership development and higher-order thinking skills, contributing to the discourse on modern pedagogical approaches in cross-cultural settings.
Dr. Crane has served as a High School Principal, Head of School, and Executive Director, and has consulted on the founding of five international schools. He is the founder and Executive Director of ClubAnglais, reflecting his commitment to language education and institutional development.
His advisory work includes business planning, financial modeling, and market research for educational institutions. He has also contributed to governance through service on two international school boards.
Dr. Crane earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and has taught at all educational levels, from preschool to graduate school. His career reflects a deep engagement with the structural and pedagogical challenges of international education.
