Eric Brousseau

Eric Brousseau is the Scientific Director of the Governance and Regulation Chair and the Regulators Club at Paris Dauphine-PSL University. As a professor of economics and management, he has directed the Doctoral School at Paris Dauphine-PSL University and led the Governance Analytics project until 2020, an interdisciplinary research initiative supported by PSL Research University.

Professor Brousseau co-created the Master's degree in Network Industries and Digital Economy (IREN), a collaborative program between Dauphine, Polytechnique, CentraleSupélec, TélécomParis, and Paris-Sud University. He founded the Institutional and Organizational Economics Academy (IOEA) in 2002 and chaired the International Society for New-Institutional Economics (2013-2014). He is also an honorary member of the prestigious Institut Universitaire de France.

His research focuses on institutional economics, regulatory frameworks, digital governance, and the interplay between economic regulation and geopolitical challenges. Brousseau's work examines how regulatory systems adapt to technological disruption, particularly in network industries and digital platforms. He investigates governance challenges of ecological transition and how regulatory frameworks can support sustainable development, with increasing attention to data governance and AI regulation.

His work increasingly addresses emerging technologies, data governance, and the geopolitical dimensions of regulation.
