Eric Arquis is a researcher at the University of Bordeaux, affiliated with the TREFLE laboratory and its SIMFI thematic group (Advanced Simulations and Numerical Modeling for Fluids and Engineering). His work focuses on numerical methods for solving complex fluid mechanics problems, particularly those involving interfaces, supercritical fluids, and multiphase systems. He contributes to the development of the open-source Notus code, which addresses societal challenges in energy, environment, and industrial processes through high-fidelity simulations. Collaborations with academic and industrial partners underpin his research, including projects on phase-change materials, acoustic mixing of energetic fluids, and hydrodynamics of supercritical systems.
