Erenie Guirguis

Erenie Guirguis serves as a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Palm Beach Atlantic University's Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy. She joined the university as a full-time practice faculty member in 2012 after previously serving as an adjunct faculty member.

Dr. Guirguis earned her PharmD in Pharmacy from Palm Beach Atlantic University following undergraduate studies at both Palm Beach Atlantic University and the University of South Florida. She completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Miami Veterans Affairs Hospital, gaining clinical training in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Her research interests focus on internal-medicine-related pharmacotherapy topics, off-label use of medications, medication safety, and curriculum and assessment innovations. She has published in peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy (AJHP), Journal of the American Pharmacists Association (JAPhA), Journal of Pharmacy Practice (JPP), and Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning (CPTL).

As an internal medicine faculty member, she practiced at JFK North Hospital from 2012-2015 and has been practicing at Wellington Regional Hospital since 2015. Her teaching responsibilities include coordinating and teaching a special populations pharmacotherapy course and precepting APPE students and PGY1 residents in internal medicine and critical care rotations.

Dr. Guirguis is board certified in pharmacotherapy and has presented over 15 posters at professional meetings, in addition to being an invited speaker at local and national conferences.
