He previously held academic positions at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Literature, Kafkas University (2013–2018), and the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Kars Vocational School (2018–2020). His career includes administrative roles as Vice Dean of the Vocational School (2018–2019) and Head of the Department of Chemistry (2018–2019).
- Education: PhD in Organic Chemistry (Atatürk University, 2016), MSc in Organic Chemistry (Atatürk University, 2012), BSc in Chemistry (Atatürk University, 2008).
His research focuses on Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and Biochemistry, with emphasis on:
- Enzyme inhibition (aldose reductase, acetylcholinesterase, carbonic anhydrase)
- Asymmetric synthesis using biocatalysts and chiral oxidants
- Catalysis (palladium/metal-free photocatalysts, C-H functionalization)
- Chemical sensor development for metal ions (Pb(II), Co(II))
Recent trends show expertise in hydrazone/rhodanine derivatives for therapeutic applications and computational modeling of enzyme-inhibitor interactions. He has secured multiple research projects as principal investigator, including studies on quinazolinone and indolizine derivatives for cancer therapies.
