Eoin Parle

Eoin Parle is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the National University of Ireland Galway (NUI Galway), and serves as Principal Investigator at the Medical and Engineering Technologies Gateway (MET). His research focuses on interdisciplinary topics at the intersection of biomedical engineering, materials science, and mechanical engineering, with a particular emphasis on bone mechanics, biomaterials, and disease-related tissue alterations.

Key research areas include fracture mechanics of cortical bone under fall-related stresses, mechanical properties of bioresorbable polymers like PLLA, and dielectric characterization of trabecular bones at microwave frequencies.
