Enza Lissandrello is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University's Department of Sustainability and Planning, part of The Technical Faculty of IT and Design. Her research focuses on urban governance, sustainable transitions, and participatory planning. She holds dual PhDs from Radboud University Nijmegen and IUAV University of Venice, specializing in cross-border governance and urban planning. Her work spans Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and transnational regions like the Mont-Blanc area.
Key research interests include deliberative planning methodologies, gamification for mobility policy, and inclusive urban innovation. She has led projects like KINETIC (2022-2025) on energy transitions and FLEXPOSTS (2022-2025) for district energy systems. Awards include the Chair of the Urban Europe Research Alliance (2025).
- Education: PhDs in Management Sciences (2005) and Urban Planning (2005), with postdoctoral research at University of Amsterdam (2005-2010).
