Enrico Pasanisi is a full Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Parma, Italy, affiliated with the Department of Medicine and Surgery. Over the past decade he has delivered core otolaryngology, audiology and audioprosthetic courses across the university’s Speech and Language Therapy, Audioprosthetic Techniques and six-year Medicine & Surgery degree programmes.
His research centres on clinical otology and audiology, with particular emphasis on:
- Advanced otologic surgery (tympanoplasty, cholesteatoma revision, subtotal petrosectomy)
- Cochlear implantation in complex or revision cases
- Congenital and paediatric otologic pathology, including facial-nerve malformations and intracochlear schwannomas
Recent publications reveal a clear trend toward evidence-based refinement of surgical techniques for chronic middle-ear disease and implantable hearing solutions, integrating case series with comprehensive literature reviews.
Although no explicit awards or funded-grant information is provided, Prof. Pasanisi maintains an extensive teaching portfolio and serves as teacher-tutor for multiple cohorts of audiology and speech-therapy students, underscoring his commitment to clinical education and translational otolaryngology.
