Enrico Basile is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Law, Bocconi University. He graduated cum laude from Università di Messina School of Law, and has held visiting scholar positions at Louisiana State University (USA) and the University of the West of England (UK), along with study stays at the IALS of the University of London and the London School of Economics.
His research focuses on Economic and Financial Crime, White-Collar Crime, and International Criminal Law. Recent projects include analyses of EU directives on market abuse, financial crime reforms, and human rights intersections with business misconduct. His publications reflect expertise in legal transplants, comparative law, and regulatory enforcement.
Basile teaches interactive courses on White-Collar Crime and Advanced Criminal Law at Bocconi, emphasizing group work and critical thinking in evaluations. He also practices as a criminal counsel before the Italian Supreme Court, specializing in financial crime, bribery, and tax offenses.
