Enkeshi El-Amin

Enkeshi El-Amin is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Agnes Scott College, where she teaches courses in race, place, urban sociology, community sociology, and social theory. She is a community sociologist, cultural worker, and social entrepreneur whose research centers on Black life in Appalachia, particularly at the intersection of race and place.

Her research interests include the sociology of race, urban and community sociology, Black studies, and Appalachian studies.
