Engin Orakdöğen

Engin Orakdöğen is a Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University. His research focuses on Numerical Modeling, Structural Mechanics, and Earthquake Engineering. He holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (1986–1994) and has been a faculty member since 1996, progressing through roles including Assistant Professor (1996–2000), Associate Professor (2000–2009), and Professor (2009–present). He has served as a Member of the University Senate since 2017.

• PhD in Structural Engineering (Dr.), Istanbul Technical University (1986–1994)

Research interests include advanced structural analysis methods, seismic behavior of structures, and numerical techniques for engineering problems. His work contributes to improving the resilience of infrastructure against earthquakes and dynamic loads.

Administrative and professional roles include membership in the University Senate (2017–present) and prior service as a Research Assistant (1985–1996).
