Emmerich Haimer

Emmerich Haimer serves as Head of the Bachelor's program in Sustainable Production & Circular Economy at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt (FHWN), Faculty of Technology. His research focuses on circular economy applications, sustainable production systems, and advanced material development.

His primary research interests include circular economy implementation, water treatment technologies, and sustainable materials science. Haimer's work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications, particularly in developing closed-loop systems for water recycling and circular product design. His research spans multiple disciplines including chemical engineering, materials science, and environmental technology.

Haimer's publication record demonstrates consistent contributions to sustainable materials research, particularly in aerogel development and cellulose-based nanomaterials. Recent work shows a strategic shift toward practical circular economy applications, with patents filed for edible packaging solutions and ongoing research into water treatment systems.
